Iran warns U.S. carrier not to return to Persian Gulf

Love the up to date video of the Iranian AF with the F-4's. Last time I saw one of those in the air was down at Cherry Point when they were taking them out of mothballs and selling them to third world countries about ten years ago.

The parade for the USAFA Class of 2011 graduation had a 4-ship flyover of F-4s in honor of Gen. Robin Olds, the class exemplar. Gen. Olds' daughter, Christina, was the back-seater in the lead plane of the formation.

I would have thought all of the 4's were on sticks now at bases.

Curious, how old is his DD? We met him back in 1998, and he was old at that time, I think in his mid 70's, doing the math 2011 graduation, would have put him near 90, even he had her when he was 40, she would be near 50.

Actually she just turned 60 last Thursday but she looks much younger. :thumb: She was just along for the ride for the flyover and had to spend several days training to make the flight.

Classmate of mine retired last year at the Puzzle Palace. He was originally an F-4 WSO...

For his "fini flight" a friend who flies the jets that are being turned into drones, got him over to do a two-ship sortie in a Rhino.

Oh, his eldest daughter, a cadet at USAFA, was in the other jet!

The smile on his face was EPIC! :thumb:
