The previous boards(yeah, were I have heard that before:shake:)had no pattern - completely random. So unless CC has learned to alphabetize in their free time:wink: it wouldn't surprise me if someone with a Z, living in the wilds of Alaska has already been updated.:biggrin:

I also would be an E... and i have not heard :frown:. Things are not looking good based on this alphabet theory, hopefully it is just dumb luck that everyone that has heard is in the first six letters of the alphabet
 
I'm not going to give the names of the schools as they are not my kids and don't hold it against me but it's not done alphabetically before and probably isn't now. The first letters of the last names of our 2 friends are S and W from today.
 
We checked this afternoon, no status change. If we actually found out,, then what would we have to worry ourselves over next?

I guess the good news is, DS looks at this as an opportunity and not the "end all".:thumb:

I wonder if we really crashed the CC server or if they simply took it offline before we did and are going to keep it down until they have all updates loaded? This would make sense if they realized the system was about to crash and they could stop it. Anyhow, randomly reading other website to fill in some time.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you, that they're entering all the new recipients.:thumb:
 
Can't get to the official site, either, but upon arriving home there was a message from the ROTC office at our sons 1st choice school saying that board results were out and he is to expect a letter shortly! Don't want to get too excited, but I sure hope that is positive news!

They must be using some process to update the website. Cjs's didn't see an update for over 24 hours after the first change and her last name is on the back-end of the alphabet.

You got a call? Great! Congrats! Do the schools call everyone? DS hasn't gotten a call but his status changed.... still waiting for notice, letter, call....

Aside from having the actual letter / offer in hand, I'd say it's as positive as it gets!
 
I gave up trying to figure out what formula they use in this process! It is so confusing it scrambles your brain thinking too hard! Thank goodness everyone has this site to bang their heads together and support one another

It is not uncommon at all not to get a call from a ROO. They actually have been told not to contact anyone until the offers are all out and official. Some of them just can't wait so I guess a few calls will be made.

Having your status change is great news, it's the first sign. Just don't jump to high until the site changes to: "You have been selected for a scholarship to the following schools" , you can alway call your ROO and see if he will spill the beans.

yes.
It's either busy or rings w/ no answer.
I don't know if they are just inundated with inquiries or updating the statuses further. (or both?)

Yeah!

We just checked and my son has the DODMERB message too! It has been along haul....
His schools in order are:
1. Virginia Tech
2. VMI
3. The Citadel
4. Norwich
5. UNH

We live in cold, snowy NH, with 6-12 more inches predicted! Don't want to get too excited yet, but I can not help it! My son is so happy, and that makes me happy:):smile:
