The housing is the issue. His preffered housing choice is also the most economical so although they might extend the deadline, the housing would be unavailable and the next tier up is no better and substantially more expensive.
In the grand scheme of things, this isnt the worst problem we could have. I have a happy, healthy, relatively bright son, who has a strong desire to serve the Lord, his country, and to stand on his own two feet (My gosh, am I ever proud of him). I probably wont even remember the $395.00 at his commisioning ceremony.
Just making the point that the delays from CC do have real consequences on the prospective cadets.
And I should add - I'm well aware that the $395.00 would be more than made up for in the reduction of tuition costs the scholarship would provide, so in the end it's not much of an issue I suppose.
