This does not make any sense to me... whatsoever. Here's my brief version of what happened.
I was diagnosed with a minor "processing disorder" which has really never affected my school work and I've never received accommodations for anything EVER. I forgot I even had it until this whole process started.
DoDMERB, in a remedial, asked me to submit my transcript as well as a counselor statement describing my personalized education plan. I do not have one so the counselor wrote that I had never received accommodations of any kind.
Also, I took the SAT with regular time and am in 94th percentile of the nation.
Seeing as I am DQ'd, it must be the case that anyone with a processing disorder is immediately disqualified? But, if that's the case, then why did I even have to submit any AMI in the first place.
Very frustrated.
Here's the exact message: R259.10 --- We have determined that you do not meet the DoD medical standards for the following reason(s): D231.90 - Academic skills disorders.
