My son received an invitation for last week's CVW today. Did anyone else's kid get this? Between this and radio silence on last week's Inspire email, I'm starting to wonder whether their email marketing system has gone haywire.

Any suggestions on a POC I can steer him toward to get some answers? From what I read in the Inspire thread, BGO don't have much information/involvement in Inspire. Don't know about CVW though.

I would suggest using the chat widget tomorrow.

Inspire is a relatively new program. We don't conduct the interview for those candidates. I would think that there is likely an email to respond for the CVW invite, and the same for Inspire. I think I would start with those.

Check this out, from a few years ago......

Despite the CVW email being for last week's CVW, he clicked on it and reported that all future ones were full. So, again, the email was both late and futile. He also responded to Inspire the day he got it (last week) and hasn't heard anything. Hopefully he will hear back from that.

I've taken a look at the chat widget myself, and as far as I can tell it is almost always closed. But I'll suggest that to him.

I got the CVW email this afternoon too. Kind of a letdown 😂

I think there is a specific window that the "chat" is manned. Sorry don't know what it is. But I believe you can still submit a question there at any time and they will follow up.

For the CVW, if candidate wants to do it and all dates are full, suggest both checking back and also letting candidate's Admission's person know of the interest. BGOs can recommend people who are interested in a CVW but can't get people in. Many drop out after first accepting, so there may well be open slots in a few weeks.

My son has two different people in these roles, an admissions counselor POC and a separate BGO. Which are you suggesting? Or both?

I got the CVW invitation on Sept 11th and it highlighted a Sept 7th date. But when I clicked on Sept 7th hyperlink just to see what happened it opened up a few future dates with availability. I just did this on Sept 15th, and there was availability for next weekend.

Admissions staff - they are either active duty or federal civil service, and Admissions coordinates the CVW program. The BGO is a volunteer in the field, whose impact on
OnCVW is as noted by @usna1985.
