I was filling out paperwork for NROTC, and one of the required forms is a "Letter from the Commander, Naval Education and Training Command."

I haven't received such a letter yet, is it sent to me directly or to the NROTC unit? The NROTC paperwork is due 1 July, so I only have two weeks to find this letter, and I'm wondering if I should really start to worry or try and contact someone at NETC about it.

Try contacting the unit at CU, they may be able to supply or point you in the right direction. Go Buffs!

Panther: I just looked in my DS' file. He got his "letter to proceed" on July 25 directly from the Dept of the Navy (Naval Service Training Command). This was back in 2011 but I suspect the process is the same.

Hope that helps.

Are you going to be a midshipman on scholarship? If you are then I believe the letter is the same thing that officially notifies you of your selection after the email from Pensacola. I received mine in the mail about a month after the email notification. If memory serves me right, that came from the rear admiral in charge of the NETC or a representative of his, so that should be it.

If you are a college programmer, that section of the paperwork might be irrelevant. Read through your instructions again and double check.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the response, the paperwork is due July 1 so hopefully mine comes a bit earlier...
