That is where I guess the AFROTC and AROTC part paths, because a 3.5 uwgpa, but a 25 ACT would appear that they did not take the most rigorous courses, thus, they would get marked down.
AFA considers 24 V as non-competitive. 95% of AFA cadets apply AFROTC, so they need to be in the 30's.
Additionally uwgpa in our area can be no AP's. Thus, it is the wgpa that they look at.
We are out of the running. DS plays football. Starts in June with Combine, 5 days a week(6 am - 2/3 pm) until Aug., plays until Nov. starting August, starts weightlifting practice in Mar 3 days a week after school until June. As you can see it is 9 months here.
Thank you for your info. It will give me the opportunity to investigate more.
A part of me believes he will go Army because, I have 3 kids.
First 2 go to ACC schools. so they tease each other. (DS1 and DD)
It would only make sense that my boys go different branches to egg each other too!
Thus, it will become always 1 kid being the tie breaker in the sibling fight.
OBTW, Bullet as an AF officer spent 2 tours with the Army in a joint position, so we love both branches.
