midshipmen returning!

Nope, not "trolling". That's the way I think about it. The guy has no experience in higher ed. He has no experience in government. His first job in education was the president of a college. Where has that ever happened? How many people with a proven track record in education backed up by advanced education were passed over for the guy? You're the top guy at a college and you have a Bachelor's degree. Give me a break.
Hilarious how people on this forum love to dismiss the perspective of current midshipmen and recent grads unless it's 100% positive

Hmm...I guess my response to your comment about "no experience in higher ed..." would go along a line like this:

Lieutenant General Jay Silveria
Lieutenant General Darryl A. Williams
Vice Admiral Sean Buck

None of these gent's had "experience in higher ed." And it wasn't needed. Oh, in case you don't know, these are the current superintendents of the USAFA, the USMA, and the USNA. And they're all doing superb jobs.

Those guys are also flag officers...One of the things I said was "No experience in government or the public sector." All 3 have copious amounts of that as well as advanced degrees (I assume). Jack was an executive at an oil company's shipping arm and spent his whole career in oil & gas. I was there on day 0 of his administration and witnessed his lack of experience and inconsistent decision making first hand.
