The topic was Native American Place Names:

YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH MILITARY SECURITY TO REACH THIS TOWN WITH A MARINE BASE ON 3 SIDES & THE POTOMAC ON THE OTHER

Figured you guys would know this, I don't.

Q Town! Used to have drive through it to get to work at Marine Corps Systems Command.

And if the question was, which town has more barber shops per capita than any other, the answer would still be Q Town. That was what most impressed me during my first visit there. Cleaners, barber, restaurant, barber, bar, barber, bank, barber....

There used to be endless boot shops also. They all closed when we switched boots years ago. Number of dry cleaners has shrank.

Years ago, I was convinced I could become a millionaire by opening a combination barber/ Laundromat/ bar outside any Marine base in the world. If only I had taken the leap! :coo2l:

Thank you, but you failed to phrase your answers in the form of a question so no points for you!

Had one of those outside Keesler and all were connected. Get your hair cut and walk in and put in the laundry and have a few waiting for the spin cycle to finish. Then a few more for dry all in the same building. Could not believe that Amtrak stops inside Quantico.

The Museum is a fantastic stop if you are in the area. Great place to have lunch at Tun or the cafeteria. Have been three times and you can spend hours there.

Been there three times as well and look forward to going again. The first time we spent an entire day and still didn't get through it all, at least the way I wanted to. I always enjoy going and will definitely head back again the next time I'm in the area. DS went with us the first time. I don't know if I'll ever get him to go again as he seems to have developed an aversion to Quantico  but I expect that to be overcome with fond memories at some point!
