Thank you, this is very helpful.I am pretty sure it would not be possible to play multiple varsity sports at USMMA. The reason is that your sea year dates are organized around your sport. You cannot be at sea for 4 months 3rd class year and 8 months 2nd class year and play two sports. My DD played two sports her plebe year, but had to give one up for 3rd class and 2nd class years. Not to mention the time it takes away from studying to play a sport. If my DD had to do it over again, she says she would have only played one sport. USMMA is apparently going to transition back to the quarter system (from the current trimester system) in the next couple of years. So your sea year would be divided into halves between 3rd class and 2nd class years. Two sports would still not be compatible with sea year. My advice would be to pick your favorite sport and concentrate on that one only.

Thank you.Helpful, but incorrect.
Several people play multiple varsity sports at KP. I know several women who played volleyball and basketball. There’s even a senior athletic award given to one soccer and one baseball player named after Kenny Graff who was a soccer and baseball player.
The sea year does throw some wrenches into scheduling, but if you are good enough to play it will work out if one is flexible.

I remain convinced that trying to play two sports would be a mistake.

Thank youIn D3 sports where the recruiting budget nears zero the best thing to do is reach out to the coach. If your sport lends to video tapes, send them your tapes and info. If it’s more of a time-based sport (eg track, swim) send them your info and times.
Thank you
