NASS acceptance and denies

Knocking out your CFA in a competitive environment can always help. I mean running around a track pacing yourself is one thing, running around it with 20+ others to push one another is a another thing.
I see the CFA as one of the most valuable event at NASS. If you have prepared before arriving at NASS, you could get a good score and you are done with it. Other than your basketball throw, you probably do better on all other events in that environment. CFA at NASS maybe even more valuable if you live in a rural area or go to a small school.

I finished my Nth PT test this morning. I did more sit-ups, push-ups, and cut down over one minute because the "young kids" are around me instead of doing it on my own. I also ran passed two of them, one male and one female. That is another story that belongs to another thread...

I got an email today saying I was not selected.
Don't be discouraged by not getting it. My DS didn't get it twice, but he's on the Wait List for USNA 2020 and already has an appointment to the USMMA. I've met a number of candidates like this.

My DS received his Appointment for Class 2020. He didn't apply for NASS nor got invited for CVW.

"Change" is the only constant?

Well, we now have e-TWEs, which wasn't the case in the past either. Unfortunately, I don't see the "hurry up and wait" process changing any time soon.
