Hello all, I've been lurking around here a lot lately reading these threads, but figured I should create an account so I can ask some questions. I am applying to the United States Military Academy, and I completed my file sometime back in November. I was also found to be medically qualified then.

Some Info-
Class Rank 1/55
Unweighted GPA-3.9
Weighted GPA-4.2
ACT Composite-29
English-31
Math-26
Reading-32
Science-25
Track-2 years
Cross Country-3 years (captain)
JROTC Raider Challenge- 1 year
Drill Team- 3 years (captain)

I go to a military boarding school where JROTC is mandatory. I am currently on the Raider Challenge team. I attended Badger Boys' State this summer. I was involved with marching band choir, national honor society, etc. However, I know that there are many that are just as qualified, and many that are more qualified. I recently received a call and letter from my congressman about receiving his "principal" nomination. I also received a nomination from my senator. The nominations showed up in the portal last week. My liaison told me I passed the CFA. Yet, I'm still worried about receiving an appointment, because many of you have talked about receiving a 3Q letter, and I haven't heard anything back yet. Also, my ACT math/science score is not great. What do you guys think?

If you receive a principal nomination and are 3 Q'd the academy has to extend you an offer of appointment.

Patience. The MOC may not have submitted the slate yet and they are hit or miss with the 3Q letters. Some of your ACT scores could be higher but I don't see anything academically that would be disqualifying, IMHO. Of course that and $5.00 will buy you a latte at Starbucks.

Your file may not have been 'qualified' yet.
When you complete your file, your file goes through a qualification process, which means that it is reviewed by your RC, another RC and a member of the admissions committee.
With finishing your file in November, it is likely that it has not been qualified yet.
Your FFR can look at your file to see if you are qualified. It is under 'File Status'.
