New barracks, what's changing?

I see the new barracks is going up. Does anyone know what the plan is for filling them? Which barracks are going to go empty? Will they be torn down? Any ideas?

Davis Barracks will house some (or all?) of 1st Regiment; not sure about other companies/Regiments. Cadets moving in moved their stuff to the trunk rooms in May. My Firstie (class of 2018) is scrambling to a new company and will be in Davis Barracks. I can't remember which barracks he said is next for renovation -- maybe Grant as it's the oldest.

My DS is in 1st Reg and is happy he is NOT moving into the new barracks! He said all the visiting VIPs will be touring the new barracks throughout the year and they will have super tough room inspections! LOL

I am fairly sure everyone in 1st reg except H and I go to Davis. This empties Grant...Pershing goes to Grant while Pershing is renovated. After that's done, Grant is demolished (according to my DS) and something goes in its place. Davis=tons of steps. Just to get to the lobby, it's 5 flights of steps. 1st reg is going to be getting the glute workout of their lives!

Grant is called Grant Ghetto for a reason. My son says that's the only barracks he would be real bummed if he had to live there.

Honestly, I don't think the Cadets care all that much about which building they are in. Mine is in Brad Short, with no air-conditioning. I asked him if he wanted to move to one that has air. He said he is fine where he is. I think it's more about the other Cadets they are with than anything else.

D1/E1/F1: Grant
G1/H1/I1: Sherman

2nd Reg: Bradley
3rd Reg: Ike & MacArthur long
4th Reg: Macarthur short, Scott, including the Lost 50's.

Are they still the same?
Are they going to fill it with A1-F1 or D1-I1 and then refurbish those buildings?

I heard H company will be in Scott Barracks. Is that true? If so, what is Scott Barrack like?

I can confirm that some of 4th Reg were/are in Mac short, and at least D1 will be in Davis.

Anyone have confirmation of who else is moving?

That also leads to the question, will Grant Hall be gutted and refurbished, or torn down altogether?
