I was recently nominated for the fourth time in four years from my local congressman, does that factor into decisions for USMA? This is my last year for admissions as I'm a junior going into my senior year for ROTC, as I'll commission the year after next. It's been a personal goal for mine for some time, and I'd be more than willing to start over at the Academy. Was also inquiring if I could do this and break contract from ROTC and go to USMA. I'm assuming you can, because I would be serving the same institution in the Department Of The Army. Thank you anyone for your guidance!

Not sure of any extra significance to a fourth application. If you are accepted at USMA you would have no problem with the ROTC contract.

Others answered your questions above.
Hopefully you applied for all other Nominations you’re eligible for to include one from your PMS. Your perseverance and determination to attend WP should be well expressed in your new essays as well as how you’ve grown in college and ROTC. Hopefully you have discussed your shortfalls in the past applications with your RC and have explained how you’ve made those improvements this cycle.
Good luck to you on your quest for an appointment. Regardless, you should be commissioning and serve on your current path!

Good luck. I know someone who was in your position and took the appointment. One of the happiest Cadets I have met and he is doing quite well.

I can’t imagine actually having one year left to commissioning, yet choosing to start over. Wow!
I imagine admissions has the same thought, not to speak of additional cost.. but no harm in trying if that's what you want.
