Helllo, I have a question about the nom. process. My representative has resigned over a scandle, and elections aren't being held until January 31st. I believe that this is the normal deadline for the noms to be submitted to USNA, so does this mean I'm out of a potential nom? Has anyone had anything like this happen, and have any ideas on what to do? Is there still a committee that can give a nom? Any help is appreciated.

From casual observation I suspect your governor will appoint an interim rep to hold the seat until the election is held. Most pols can't bear an empty seat for more than a few days. Besides, the temporary appointee carries a real advantage into the election due to the boost in visibility of being a MOC - even for a few weeks.

Be sure to apply for a VP nom. In the unlikely event no one is appointed by Jan. 31, this (and a Supe's nom) are ways for USNA to ensure your district is represented.
