My son received a nomination form our Congressman. I was curious- should i scan and upload the letter to his application portal or will that happen automatically? Thanks in advance.

The congressman's office will notify the academy with their list of nominees. It may take some time; some are quick, but sadly, some will wait until near the deadline of 31 January.

Make certain the ALO knows and a short e-mail to his USAFA's counselor would be a nice touch.

The Congressional office will let USAFA know and the portal will be updated. No action on your part is needed. It does take awhile, so patience is definitely needed! We were informed of my DD’s nom on the 21st and are still waiting for the portal updates. Congrats on the nom!
