Notifications/Appointments

Any CGAS notifications yet? Or do those tend to come closer to the end of the notification period (Dec 23rd)?

wondering the same thing.... hopefully they dont deffer-->scholars and instead just offer either no appt. or scholars appt. already so much stress waiting for any decision );

Usually CGAS appointments start to be offered well before Christmas. Often those recipients will start a separate appointment thread in the forum. I haven't seen any either this year although of course those listed on here are just a small sampling. There is a new superintendent though, so perhaps he is handling things differently.

How many CGAS appointments are usually given?
 
From the USCGA website "Georgia Military College, Marion Military Institute in Alabama, the Naval Academy Prep School in Rhode Island or the University of Massachusetts in Boston."
 
USCGA cadets candidates are typically spread between the institutions based on sports and other considerations. Typically there are 20 or more CGAS cadet candidates at NAPS, GM8, MMI with a smaller amount at other locations. I believe that my 4C cadet mentioned their were scholars also located at a school right by
the academy this year not sure of name.
 
The newest CGAS school is UConn Avery Point and is the one located near the Academy. I met a CGAS student at a recent Genesis event and she said that she is housed at the Academy and commutes to Avery Point.
 
When you get accepted where does it show up on your Bear's Den? I try to check all three screens, checklist, future events, and application page that says submitted. Just wondering which page, it will show up.

It will say "CCEB Review Complete - Decision Available" Under the "Application Checklist" section on the bottom right. You click the "Decision Available" link and it will bring you to the portal where you submitted your application and the decision will be there.
