NROTC 2020 school choices

I chose:
George Washington University
University of Rochester
Tulane University
Cornell University
Union College

Anyone else got one similar?

Mine was Notre Dame, Purdue, Illinois, Wisconsin, Cornell. I ended up getting into ND in December and receiving the NROTC scholarship a few days later. Still waiting on USNA, but can't wait for next year regardless of where I end up.

I listed the following(although I am near certain that I will accept my appointment to USNA):
Harvard
Cornell
Umass Amherst
Columbia
GA Tech
Only hear back from these in March/April

MIT is the host school for Harvard NROTC.

Columbia is supposed to work with SUNY Maritime College in Queens according to this 2011 article....hopefully it is still current:

Is it different to go train off campus for ROTC for freshmans with no cars early in the morning? I can't imagine going to Harvard & study & hike across campus to MIT early morning with no car in cold cold winter??

You need to contact the unit to find out how they handle it. Some do most morning PT at the satellite unit. Some provide carpooling help. Some, your on your own. It's different for each satellite school.

Does Georgetown have NROTC? I checked on NROTC web & it says yes, but on Georgetown website I only see AROTC, some says GT only offers NROTC for nursing?? Unsure?

From the NROTC website, Georgetown is subordinate to GWU:
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
George Washington University
Cross-Town Affiliate:

- Catholic University of America (RN Option only)
- Georgetown University (RN)
- Howard University (RN)
- University of Maryland at College Park(becoming a NROTC Host Unit Fall 2016)

Hope you are enjoying:) however I see Georgetown does not hv traditional engineering program? But a 5yrs program with Columbia U. How does that work in order to get 4yrs NROTC scholarship at tier 1 major you need engineering??

Thank you! All the current midshipmen from Georgetown either have a Tier 2 or Tier 3 major

Son's Plan "B" choices:
Rochester Institute of Technology
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
University of Pitts
Tulane University
Marquette University

Yale,UPENN, Cornell, Texas AM and Maryland. I been accepted into all of the above plus Harvard, MITand Stanford. Denied a nomination for USNA so my backups are in place, just waiting on NROTC board results like most here. Congratulations to those that already have scholarships and good luck to those waiting!

Aquafox...Georgetown would have the cross town with Maryland as this is first year that Maryland is a host for NROTC. I do know that Maryland is sharing the host with another school.

Wow! impressive! My brother in law gave up an appointment at USNA to row for Harvard. Senator Kennedy was furious! Still waiting for USNA and NROTC here but family history will not repeat itself if given an appointment. You still have that chance that USNA might "find" a nomination for you. Best wishes to you!!

@md403 Georgetown is going to remain a cross-town school within the George Washington unit. It would make no sense for Georgetown to become a cross-town school with UMD since it's so far away.....

UMBC is opening up its own unit this Fall and UMD College Park is going to be part of that new unit.

Congrats! But are you applying for class of 2020 or you got accepted to above colleges past year?? Think most college acceptance come out mid-late March or early April? If you are waiting on NROTC board I assume you will be class 2020 but how did you get accepted to all those schools so early, my DS accepted his appointments to USNA but he is waiting on UPenn, Stanford & Harvard too.

@md403 I am confused also. Cornell and UPenn are ED, and Yale is restrictive early action. How did you apply to all three and get accepted? Unless you've received likely letters...
