MIDN 4/C at a Midwestern College University.

Political Science Major, 3.2 GPA and a perfect PRT. (Not calc or physics complete)

Are my odds decent for picking up a 3 year? Can anyone send statistics from prior years?

I'm open to Advanced Standing, but from my understanding the odds are 50/50

I really want to commission, and I'm working harder than ever to raise my grades.

Thanks

For 3/C much is determined by your current standing in your class. That should have been conveyed to you during your BOS interviews and when you signed your fitrep.

If I recall, you were math challenged. If there are sideload applicants who satisfactorily completed calc and/or physics, they would likely have better chances than someone who has not.

With a perfect PRT, poli sci major, and no calc/physics, I would think Marines or Army would be a better fit.

My ranking is actually pretty solid. It's not the very best, but it's certainly not bad.

Not awful, but I'd second the CO's comment about the lack of physics and math being a inhibiter. My ROTC class and the class before me had about ~6-7 apply for scholarship without coming in with one. All got scholarship except the one person who did not have physics/calc complete. That person got advanced standing, but no scholarship.
