NROTC 3rd Board results taking longer than usual?

Anyone hear any info on when results will be out for 3rd NROTC board?

Remember, boards select winners. Once selected, another group assigns the school.

Have not. But am anxiously awaiting as well. Seems to be taking longer than 'normal', but hope it is very soon.

DS just received an email from his scholarship coordinator that both December and January’s selection boards were cancelled, and that additional boards have been scheduled to speed up the process. The next board is now meeting the week of February 26th. FYI for those waiting to hear!

There will be no extra waiting and I’m sure the review boards continued. What more than likely shut down was the admissions end. The active Naval Officers need to continue to score the candidates they are not going to shut down and rush through this at a later time.

Just in from local recruiting district... Boards scheduled for the remainder of the current selection year are:
5-9 Feb
26 Feb - 2 Mar
19-23 Mar
9-13 Apr
23-27 Apr
Can't vouch if these dates are 'amended' from original planned dates or not. Just FYI... Best of luck...

I would not worry about the board dates so much, they don't mean anything to anyone. You could have very well have been selected already. The forum will be lighting up soon enough.

Anyone want to look at past year's NROTC results and analyze their announcement dates? I say we put together a pool and start taking bets on dates we will hear announcements. That's what people do when they're waiting on babies to be born right? LOL Sorry, I'm stir crazy. It's overcast out today, so I'm sitting inside brooding about NROTC results. I don't even care if dd isn't selected this go-round. Just want some news that any activity is going on at all!

I believe it’s typically a couple weeks from when the Board meets.

Last year Tuesday, a week plus after the board met, seemed to be the magic day...maybe today with the holiday this week. We have quite a few college programmers waiting for the word at my DS's NROTC unit. Hoping the best for them...(Boomer!)

I just checked DS's NROTC portal and it had been updated. Unfortunatley he didn't received a scholarship from Navy. But thankfully he had already been notified of an AFROTC scholarship and a USMMA appointment, so he has other options.

When did your DS submit their application? I just checked my portal and nothing has updated.

Thank you for posting....my DD has received an NROTC scholarship!!! We are crazy excited! She submitted her application in November, medically qualified in December (shes also a USNA applicant). Im just so relieved I only have to check the USNA portal now...good luck to everyone else waiting to hear!

I think DS finished everything on the app in November.
