NROTC cross detachment

Short story short DS received NROTC and AROTC. Dilemma is, he received a 4 year AROTC to 2 of the same schools he received NROTC at. The third AROTC school he received it at was Harvey-Mudd college for 3 years. DS applied ED to Harvey mudd because of the coach wanting him, and is preparing his plan right now if he gets in. Now Harvey-Mudd only has AROTC, but son is also very interested in the navy and has a 4-year offer from them. The nearest NROTC detachment is 1 hour away from Mudd(USC/UCLA; his NROTC scholarship is currently there). Can ds attend mudd on the NROTC scholarship even tho they do not have a detachment and just do a cross town agreement where he takes military science classes at USC or does he have to do AROTC since that’s the only ROTC at Mudd.

No. Harvey-Mudd has no association with the NROTC programs at USC or UCLA. Cannot use the NROTC scholarship at H-M.

+1 to Go Dores. Given the ED situation it sounds like he's stuck with AROTC and H-M.
