NROTC Final Decision

I'm pretty sure the last board hasn't met yet.
It takes a couple weeks from that point. It happens. From what I remember and my memory isn't that good, mid May is when the final folks hear.
The scholarships that are gained when folks show up at Academy's are awarded to 3 year and those that were close and college programmers, if there are any extras.

Folks! You have almost 2 weeks before you need to lock in plan B. Patience.

My DS has applied for 4 year NROTC at Auburn and Ole Miss-with Auburn being his first choice-as well as GA Tech, Duke, and Vanderbilt. Wondering if anyone has heard of any scholarships being awarded to either of these schools?

I don’t see any for Ole Miss or Auburn....do they decide scholarships by regions of applicants or schools? Seems like most of the schools are more north.

@JAW Navy option scholarship are not decided by region or school. Once a scholarship is awarded on the individual applicant's personal merits, they are assigned to the highest ranked school on their list that has an opening, usually their first or second choice school. Marine Option scholarships are awarded by region.

Remember, only a small percentage of applicants and therefore even a smaller percentage of awardees find their way to this forum.

Anyone have any experience with those waiting for results to the very end? DS status still "No decision has been made..." as of this morning. I understand there is maybe one more board to convene. Would applicants be notified prior to National Decision Day--May 1?
If there is still "no decision" prior to May 1, is it assumed that DS should execute his plan B?

My DS is in the same situation, the Same status "No Decision has been made" today still. I have resorted to Plan B also at this point. Hopefully, we will hear sooner rather than later. He is happy with his plan B, so there is always that. Good Luck and I will post here if we hear anything before May 1.
