And while I am not a naval aviator, I would strongly recommend an optometrist's recommendation before choosing which type of Lasik surgery to undergo.
It's worth noting that USNA Mids are in fact covered for medical items in most cases whereas NROTC is a different animal.I can't speak to NROTC medical coverage, but DS just did dual eye PRK yesterday at Walter Reed (he's a 2/C at USNA), Lasik was not an option for him if he wanted aviation (I'm not a doctor and don't play one on tv, just passing on what he was guided to choose).
