NROTC late January board

Still waiting here. I thought it concluded a week ago from today, but I've seen people saying that the board will meet on February 10th. Who knows

There was a board late jan, and those who got it were notified, now there will be the only february board on the 10th.

Is it known that there is a 2/10 board? DS got a generic email reminder wanting anything outstanding submitted before 2/14 for the next board. (or something similar) That made me assume the next board would be 2/17 week...

I never saw any person state they received a positive reply for scholarship from late January board??

Good morning! Just curious if anyone knows when the second (and last) MO board meets or met?

They usually meet late Feb or early March. Dates are, apparently a closely held secret.

My DS's portal still states that "no decision has been made on your application" and it was ready for the late Jan. board.

Keep in mind that you may not receive a reply, positive or negative, until mid-April. Keep working alternate plans. DS got a negative ccx e reply in April but still had plenty of time to execute on plan B since it was ready to go.

Yes! He has plan B in place! Would it be fair to say that most MO scholarship recipients do get placed in their #1 school choice of the 5 they note?

Can you please give us some ideas of what options are for Plan B?

Depends on whether you want Navy or Marines, but the best plan B in any case is to do NROTC without the scholarship. There will be a few opportunities to win a scholarship while in the program.

The backup to that as a Marine Option is the Platoon Leaders Course (google it).

After that, in either case is OCS/OCC.

I checked my NetFocus last night to see positive news but there was no formal notification. I hadn't checked the portal for a few days so I'm not exactly sure what day it was posted but the late January board was the first board I was eligible for. Good luck!

DD got the nod yesterday as a (freshman) college programmer (she had not applied as a HS senior). She didn't say how she was notified but accepted the offer online and was told she'd get a letter in approximately two weeks.

DS received update advising that he was not awarded Navy ROTC Scholarship. Just updating for those wondering if recent board results have been received. Good luck to all still in a holding status.
