Hi all! My NROTC recruiters couldn't find any one available to go to my senior awards ceremony and my graduation, but they said they would like to make it up by having a private ceremony. What do they mean by private ceremony? Like doing it at my house with my family or at the city hall? Thanks in advance.

That is probably up to you more than anything. How big, where and who you invite is more a you question than them.

You should just contact them and ask what is considered "customary" for a private ceremony as you don't know what to expect.

Then just go with the flow.

I am sure they meant at your house or place of your choice (school, etc)

They did mine for my son on campus in front of a bunch of PLC "poolees" after his freshman year. He received the 4 year scholarship his first semester in NROTC.

+1 to AROTC-dad. I don't think anyone here can answer. Ask them.
