NROTC Scholarship results?

Has anybody heard anything? I’m thinking no because thread has been quiet but just checking to see. Portal still says no decision has been made at this time here.
🙋🏻‍♀️ - as of last night, same: no decision has been made. I don’t think DS checks it in the morning before he leaves for school & I don’t ask (even though I’m dying to ask 😁😬!)...

Same here, “no decision has been made”. Deadline is May 1 but does anyone know if they might give some leeway if I explain to my prospective universities? Good luck to all those waiting still.
I have read that some colleges are willing to extend that may 1st deadline but I would definitely check in to make sure your colleges would be one of them. Good luck!

Still Nothing on our end.. my DS still has "No decision has been made..." I guess that is good news that the door isnt shut but it does make a true final decision virtually impractical by the 1 May deadline. I am 30 year Navy Ret Vet so I certainly understand "hurry up and wait" but I really must admit I haven't seen this type. I also completely understand needs of the Navy always overrides any personal incovenience but they could easily adjust that manpower forecast accordingly prior to a 1 May deadline which does not change year to year to year.

I don't believe (but do correct me if I am wrong) that a school will allow an additional "grace period" beyond the 1 May deadline as they have waitlists, housing etc on their doorstep waiting to be resolved. But if there are experiences with those that allow, DO share!!

Why am I feeling like a contestant on a game show?!?! It is frustrating that my DS is still waiting on USNA and NROTC scholarship both this late in the game. His USNA application was finalized in Dec (less the BGO interview that came later) and his NROTC scholarship was finalized in Jan. He's been accepted to Norwich and The Citadel - he only applied to small SMC's. Just let these poor kids know so they can embrace their path forward. They want to proudly tell people where they are going to school. 🙏 Praying for peace and patience for all applicants and parents as we continue to wait. Please let today be the day!!!

I think if you can get a hold of the right person at the University anything is possible for an already admitted student. I would start with the veterans liaison or equivalent office and ROTC detachment or use LinkedIn to try to find a former veteran in the admissions department.

My DS submitted his ROTC application back in October and still "no decision". He's executed on Plan B. Discouraging that these seniors continue to wait and now when we go to check IE "status" site it shows as an unsecure site and won't load. Good luck to all those that continue to wait as well.

I heard back a week ago I received a NROTC scholarship! I got it on the tier 3 one (meaning I'm not doing physics or another STEM major in College)
Not quite true. Navy still requires 2 semesters of Calculus and 2 semesters of Calculus based physics. You're correct about the major though.

Feeling all your pain. DS has had his application completed since early January and there has been no update in several months. The "No decision has been made on your application." lives on. Regardless DS is moving forward with his #1 school (RPI) with or without the NROTC scholarship, but it sure would be nice to know. I suspect there will be a big release either next week or the week after.

I was wondering if anybody had received results from the last board two weeks ago. Congratulations!

Yesterday, my DS received an unsolicited update from his recruiter telling him his application was still be considered and that all decisions would be made by April 30. Presumably that means everyone will be notified by April 30.
Thank you for the 411! Hard to believe that maybe by next Friday, they will know one way or the other ... Good luck 🍀 to everyone!

Thanks for the update.. Glad they give us such a vast amount of time to decide:(!!!

I got the same email from my NROTC counselor.

One would think that by this point in time you would have your decisions already mapped out and are just waiting to see what options are still on the table.
Mapped and ready. Waitlisted at USNA and accepted for USC.. just waiting for NROTC

We most definitely have a plan A, B and C in the pocket and already, frankly, well underway despite the workings of the world's greatest Navy that I so lovingly served for nearly 40 years. Please don't get me wrong as I know that there have been hundreds of outstanding candidates that have been selected in this year's cycle that will unquestionably well and faithfully serve their country and the mission of the Navy will move forward as it has done for well over 200 hundred years with or without my DS.... The needs of the Navy are, as always, paramount. We are lucky to have many other options but there are many that may not and to let well-known timelines for college commitment etc. get in the way of that for many is just well..... disappointing.
