I recommend you take a copy of your orders to TMO and work it out with them. The Academy will reimburse you your first air travel ticket to the Academy. This means when you travel back to the Academy next year for I day, it will be at your expense, if you get reimbursed for your air travel to the P school this year. I don't believe the school sends you a ticket.

Grrr! Assuming they have their orders!! DS called today. Apparently someone screwed up, and he doesn't have his orders yet. They hope to have them by next week.
if he has difficulty, I recommend he call his counselor at USAFA. LEAD appointments are rare and so oftentimes the orders get messed up due to the fact that the personnel are unfamiliar with the proper codes, etc.Grrr! Assuming they have their orders!! It will be treated like any other PCS. You can either have the base buy you plane tickets, but they will be a non-stop flight to USAFA, or you can procure your own travel and be reimbursed. You can do a self-procured move and be reimbursed, or you can have TMO move your personal belongings.

I think all of the slots have been assigned but not given out yet.... thats just my guess.
After seeing that comment about the Prep slots, I was worried that it wasn't an option for my DS. Maybe they have some slots reserved for LEAD and athletic recruits as the admissions process plays out.
Who knows though.

Agreed, I can't wait to go to Marion and find people with the same dream as me, and At USAFA I'll finally get to meet all of you that have supported me on here and finally get to live it! It still feels so unreal!
ALL Prep School Cadet Candidates need a nomination
Actually, all Cadet Candidates need to pursue a Nomination to USAFA through all available sources (Senator, Congressman, VP, Presidential). Please make initial contact with your Senators and Congressman from your district as it applies to your home of record as soon as possible. It will make your first few weeks at the Prep School less hectic.
