One Liner Life Advice

Hello SAF folks, things have been super quiet on the appointment front, so while we're all waiting, do you have any one-liner life advice you'd like to share? Something that might be generally helpful for candidates, but maybe for parental/guardian units too. Maybe something that has worked for you or your candidate? And hopefully appropriate for general audiences?

Here's mine:

In some random box I found some little art project DS did when he was in 6th grade. A really bad color pencil drawing on a large index card of a hockey player, a net and a quote from Wayne Gretzky, "You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take."

I put it on to my kid's desk and he put it on the top part of his freebie wall calendar so he can look at that daily instead of landscape scenery. lol

D*mn. This is something I should have learned 30 some years ago.

I always stressed being coachable to my son. That makes a real difference in sports, and life. Teachable is even better.
