Permit to Report Class 2026

Ok, dumb question. For the parent ID access form, do we need to fill one out for each parent? Or just one, and they will issue two cards?

And another ..... if I have my Government issued CAC from work (NASA), can I use that to get on base, or does it need to be a DoD issued one?

Drive-on credentials are listed. You can always call them too.

The letter is your Plebe Summer Company. So Alpha Company will have 1st and 2nd Platoon. Once the Academic Year starts Alpha doesn’t exist and your PS Platoon becomes your company. The letter companies are only for PS.
So, in an example, son and Dav1y are both in O company, so they will go through PS together, but then when the AC year starts, they will be in different companies?

They are different. One in 27th, one in 28th. The main thing I was trying to figure was if they would be together during PS based on Oscar company.

You will interact with your sister platoon on multiple occasions like Blue and Gold, company competitions, parades etc. However, for the most part, you will just see them in passing. You live on different decks and have different platoon leadership. You also travel to most stuff independently as platoons. Company staff will be sourced from both Ac year companies (platoons). Take Alpha for example. The CC might be 1st company and the XO will be from the other company. 1st Platoon leadership will all be from 1st company. The story is the same for 2nd company.

Also, where you live in PS is usually not where you'll be during the Ac Year. Some companies have to move a deck over, up, or down. Not bad at all. Others have to move across the Yard and go up multiple decks.

NATO prefers “Alfa” over “Alpha,” in the trivia category.

Six days and a wake-up until the fun begins for 2026! I'm having flashbacks reading through all the comments, recalling how DS tried to make sense of the company, squad, and platoon assignments. I just told him, "don't worry about it, there will be no shortage of people telling you where to go!".

Enjoy your freedom. In less than a week, you will switch from civilian to military in one day. It may not define you as a person, but it will certainly shape the person you are to become. You'll love it and hate it sometimes, but it's a great job and you will be part of less than 1% of citizens who make up the armed forces of The United States.
