Those are much appreciated. They have a cork board above their desk and they are issued push pins. Those were our son’s favorite plebe summer items. Even if just pictures of a sunset or the dogs or meat on the grill.

For future parents: sending pictures during PS is a good thing. Mail is processed very slowly on the Yard. Best practice is to send a letter and pictures the day after I day. This way he/she will get them in a week or so. Yes it can be that slow.

I always maxed out my stamp weight with pictures. I printed ones I found of him online during plebe summer. He really enjoyed those! Sailing, E course, coming aboard a YP, etc.

Detailers can only look through the contents of the package itself. We are instructed to not look through envelopes or read any letters.
