So far everyone soonds wonderful. Keep the updates coming. We are not there yet, but they are all sounding soo positive. YOU all are in my nightly prayers. God bless you all.
Could be that the intensity of their impromptu room inspection at 1:01 is dirctly proportional to the amount of time they slept.I also heard they get to sleep in until 1:00 on Sundays if they want to (although that doesn't sound right for some reason).

Plebes have "personal time" up until 1 PM on Sundays. While they can choose to sleep that whole time, most only "sleep in" until 7 or 8, then use the remaining time to try to go to church services, or to catch up on things.
We too had a very positive phone call (could hear the wind but must have been pre-storm) - everyone is asking how he's doing, can't say he's having "fun", but do think he's starting to figure it out. In one of his letters, he said that "it's a daily rollercoaster, up and down, but usually by the end of the day, he can look back and say that all-in-all it was a good day" - very insiteful for a young man (I was quite surprised to hear that from him). He said running is easier but push ups still "suck", he's very tall and thin. He said that the whole platoon sung "Build Me Up Buttercup" to their detailers in the push-up position in the p-way the other day - got lots of laughs and the thought of that certainly makes me smile
