I received an email this morning from a PMS at one of the universities that I am applying to. It is a T20 school, and I have excluded any identifying information.

Can anyone interpret what this email means? I have received two emails from other universities during my application process, but I found that the timing of the this email was relatively in line with the board's decision-making period, so I was also wondering if this factor has anything to do with it.

Good morning Mr. (Name Redacted),

I tried to call you earlier this morning as I am excited that you are considering an Army ROTC scholarship and (Name Redacted) University. Based off a quick review of your file, I believe you will likely be awarded a 4 year ROTC scholarship as well as have a high probability of admittance to (Name Redacted) University.

If you have not visited (Name Redacted) yet, I would be more than happy to host you for a campus visit in the near future.

Regardless of where you are at in the process, I would like to discuss our program and (Name Redacted) University with you at greater length as I think you would be an ideal fit. As the department head, I am personally contacting you because I obviously want you to consider our program. However, I will say that I am absolutely committed to the success of our future Army officers no matter where you decide to go to school so please consider me as a resource toward your future development as a leader. Finally, I would like to offer you a chance to be contacted by one or more of our (Name Redacted) students, who are currently in the program, to answer any questions you may have and provide relevant insights from a student perspective.

My contact information is below and I look forward to hearing from you.

Respectfully,

(Name Redacted)

My DS received a box of merch from ROTC unit at one of his top 3. We were speculating also if it was just the timing of his finished application to that school, or if they know something.

Received an email from my number 2 school last Tuesday bragging about their program, and telling me to contact them soon to further explore my future there. I personally think they send it to everyone who lists their school, but it’s possibly a sign that they already know the winners.

My daughter received an email from one of her schools listed last week encouraging her to come back to take another look at the school and their ROTC program. While several other schools and PMS’s on her list have been keeping in routine contact back and forth since she started this process in Sept.

We don’t know winners yet.

We all want you, you are all highly qualified and would do well at our schools. Me and My PMS would all love for you to come check out Clarkson and the Golden Knight Battalion and Clarkson pays for room and board. Will I send a letter out to all 14000+ applicants...not a chance. But some programs do.

+1 to ClarksonArmy. These letters meanabsolutely nothing other than exactly what they say. Do not try to read the tea leaves. There are no tea leaves.

^^^ this is exactly what I told my daughter. The emails are just these ROOS/ PMS’s doing their job and trying to drum up interest in their school/ program. We have been in constant contact since early Fall with her top three schools and has talked with the others off and on as well to keep lines of communication open.
