Thank you for the information. Hopefully next year's application is a different story.Generally, when USNA tells a candidate that he/she is turned down, it means for all options, including NAPS. Sorry that you didn't get the news you'd hoped for. Charge ahead with your other plans!
If you don’t mind me asking what state are you from? And what kind of nomination did you have?My portal also changed to turned down this morning. So disappointing. No email either. I do hope there is a chance for NAPS or a foundation still, does anyone know if this is the case?
Thanks
Not at all. I'm from TN. I had both congressional and senator noms. I was a little bit surprised that I didn't get wait listed after receiving two noms. But, it will be a good confidence booster for class of 2029!If you don’t mind me asking what state are you from? And what kind of nomination did you have?

I'm sorry, I guess I don't know the etiquette for this forum. I am asking because we are from Tennessee also. #patientlywaiting. Why is that information relevant? I am becoming highly suspicious of new members asking for detailed information from candidates. My advice is to neither ask for, or reveal, such information.
This is supposed to be an anonymous forum. Too many details makes it possible for people to identify people. And while right now it might not seem important, it could be so down the line.I'm sorry, I guess I don't know the etiquette for this forum. One can always reach out through private message if they want to connect with a forum member.
Don’t feel bad, I know I share more than I should. It is hard when you trust the goodness of people.Thank you.

Highly suspicious of what? It was a general question, didn’t not ask for name and address..if you do not agree with the questions and answers in this forum you could have simply read and moved on.Why is that information relevant? Its suspicious because with the internet today you can do so much with little information and when someone asked a question for example about their district, that narrows down a lot and then it goes to finding other smaller things to be able to tell where people live, their names etc. It seems like "new members" are fishing for some sort of targets.Highly suspicious of what? There are a multitude of people on this forum asking others what district they are in just to narrow down their ideas on whether they might get in or not. I feel it is up to the person whether they would like to share, but I highly doubt people are asking for malicious intent. Its suspicious because with the internet today you can do so much with little information and when someone asked a question for example about their district, that narrows down a lot and then it goes to finding other smaller things to be able to tell where people live, their names etc. It seems like "new members" are fishing for some sort of targets.
People are weird now days, and it isn't hard at all to get personal with someone who doesn't even know you. Protect your privacy.
from what i have seen from watching the threads as a guest multiple people are asking about districts others are in whether it’s to maybe get into contact with someone in the same boat as you that are also close (because this is a long and hard wait) or to see their chances on getting an acceptance. Calm down and if you don’t like it, as the previous person said, ignore it. It is up to the person on whether they would like to say their district, not yours.Multiple members of this community have been doxxed. The member that I value most of all and who has provided invaluable guidance to hundreds of candidates no longer frequents these forums for exactly that reason.
When I see someone with 2 posts, both of which are asking for location information, I find that invasive.
There is no good reason to ask for district, town, high school, etc. and definitely no good reason to share it. That information provides no benefit to the requestor and does represent potential hazard to the responder.
Is this why a certain mentor, who i really look up to and has been a huge help to me these past two years, just disappeared from the forums?! Even if it is not, it is a shame that happened to someone. This is supposed to be a place of support and guidance. Smh.Multiple members of this community have been doxxed.
