Question About AP Scores

I agree. The only people who validate Calc 3 and start off with Diff EQ's first semester plebe year are kids who went to college. There are plenty who validated Calc 2 and started Calc 3 their first semester.
 
I would think so from what we've heard and my son's BGO told him. My son has taken Calc 2 and 3 at a local college and would certainly like to validate both. However, he took them both last (junior) year, so I'm afraid he's going to have forgotten it all by the time he goes. I think he's going to pick up some online Calc 2 because he really, really doesn't want to go through that again, but he enjoyed Calc 3 so I don't think he'd mind taking it.

As far as getting the USAFA info, maybe try posting on that board?

Is a computer class(es)(non-major related) required at USNA or USAFA? I know it is at USMA and was just wondering.

When I was at USAFA (20 yrs ago) we were required to take a computer programming class...but technology has changed so much since then, so I have no idea if its still required. Hopefully one of the more recent cadets can answer.
 
Maybe I said it wrong...the correct title is Information Technology. If USAFA/USNA doesn't require this, why does USMA?

Because they have a different administration and different goals to serve a different mission. Their big-wigs say "Do this" and they do it. If Navy's big-wigs don't want that done and don't feel it is important then Navy doesn't do it.
The Academy's aren't all the same thing that just happen to pipe into seperate services. They are very distinct schools that reflect (to some extent) the real life of the service.
