I received an LOA to the Naval Academy in late January, but I finally received info from DODMERB about my braces. They want me to fill out an Orthodontic Questionnaire stating my treatment will finish before I day. However, from previous talks with my Orthodontist I know my treatment will take until August at the earliest. So, what should I do, and since braces are not allowed, how can I start the waiver process.

If you’d like, you may send me an email: lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide complete name and last 4 SSN; provide the text of your Parent's posting above to YOUR email. The subject line of the email should be “terdenebat14- SAF =Question about Braces.“ Do NOT embed links in your email as I will not be able to view those.:wiggle:

Definitely you should communicate with Mr. Mullen.

You might also contact the orthodontist to see if it is medically feasible to accelerate completion before R-Day and document this on the ortho questionnaire.
