This kind of bothers me. At least on the old portal USAFA would just tell you in the email whether you got in or not. On this portal, whether you got in or didn't has the same formatting. Not cool imo

Maybe it's an opinion thing, but I'd rather just be told in the email than think I have a chance until reading the words yknow

Me too. Last year, when I got rejected from a bunch of Ivy Leagues and other civilian schools, they all did the "Your decision is ready" email thing, which really messed me up. I'd rather not be given false hope.

Yeah. I would imagine the number was assigned as soon as they were deemed competitive. But it is only a guess to pass the time
