R-Day Immunizations

I noticed that there are a few immunizations that my DD needs after age 18. If she doesn't have them before R-Day for whatever reason, am I understanding correctly that she will be given them on R-Day?

That is correct. That is why we generally work hard to chase down the vaccines before Rday...it's a stressful enough day without worrying about feeling poorly from multiple vaccines on that day.

I think I am in the same situation as my DD won't be 18 until several months after R-Day. In the Immunization FAQ posted in the 1st Admissible Mailing, it states:

What if my 18th birthday is after R-Day?
You will receive the IPV vaccination while at USMA after your 18th birthday.

So they get a nice birthday gift from dear USMA!

My son wasn't 18 until September. He got shots on R-Day, and then had to do pull-ups. Said it did effect how many he did. Managed 14, but said he would have done 20 otherwise. I told him, "excuses". LOL.

Thanks for the actual vs posted report. I will see if we can get her Dr to do this immunization early and prior to R-day.
