Driving into work today, heard a short (10 or 15-second) radio ad for USMMA on a local station. If I recall correctly, touts that 80% of our strategic sealift is manned by USMMA grads and that one is prepared for that with a full year of training at sea. First time I've ever heard an ad for a SA outside of the promos ICW televised football games.

Not sure 15 seconds is enough time. That said, I think it's good that USMMA is getting the word out to folks who may not know of it/may not have considered it. Anyone know if this is part of a larger publicity campaign?

[Apologies if this topic has been discussed -- I don't frequent this board all that often]

Are you in the Washington DC area? I heard that there are some radio ads and Metro billboard-type ads in that area. Interesting! I wonder if it’s part of the USMMA AAF campaign?

Yes, in the DC area. Probably not a bad area in which to advertise, given the number of kids who apply to SAs. Wonder if they're doing it in other major markets.
