Replying to this thread until appointment/redirection (with a JROTC nom)

I’m at the Area 10/12 Drone/Brain Brawl championship right now as my units drone team commander. Also have a JROTC waiting with yall! I’m in GA and I haven’t heard much from around here
I’m in GA too. My district already has 3 usna Appointees 😳

Day 4 (i accidentally put day 4 for yesterday) Still nothing but I have been recently getting dreams every night on getting in. Hopefully it’s a good omen!

Do any of y’all know anyone that has gotten in this year using a JROTC nom?

Having a nom source (and even getting an appointment) does not mean that someone will know what their appointment is actually "charged" against. The Noms and Appointments team could have used one of their discretionary sources. An appointee will never know which one was used (until later, if you request that info after you graduate).

Does that mean someone can be “charged” to a JROTC nom even though they don’t have a JROTC nom?

No. That is a specific nom source. The discretionary ones are things like SecNav, Superintendent, VP, etc.

And as I showed in another thread (and mention all the time), only 20 ROTC noms can be charged to appointments each cycle.

Thank you for the clarification!

Day 1: First day counting, inspired by Blinkus and others. Congrats to Blinkus. Hoping for an acceptance.
