Revoke my security clearance, too, Mr. President: Admiral McRaven

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American people."
- Theodore Roosevelt

"To suppose that any form of government will secure liberty or happiness without any virtue in the people, is a chimerical idea. "
-James Madison

We trade quotes all day..... but at least one of these statements must be true:
1) The Admiral knew nothing about John Brennan, or was totally bamboozled by him he just assumed he must be of virtuous character. "The Stooge" And I don't think the Admiral is a stooge.
2) The Admiral hates the President so much, he would say anything to embarrass him and hurt his presidency.
3) He lied.

I think there is an honor code ... he worked with him and had good experiences with him ... and he didn’t know the origins of the Russian hoax ... so he stood up for him as anyone would do.

Or ...

The Russian hoax was political, designed to hide what was in those deleted emails. And inside those emails there is information on corruption and many in DC are worried.

I will watch to see how it all plays out.

I don’t buy into the rationale that they all don’t like the President - to be fair his politics are similar to Reagan and Bushes. It seems to me DC doesn’t want an outsider not connected to DC.

Listen, I work with a lot of people that I have good experiences with, but to do a "Spartacus" for them......I don't know if that's a honor violation. One thing to say, "Yeah, John's a good guy", but another to say "If you crucify John....you're going to have to crucify me also". You better be damn sure he a good guy......or damn sure nobody's going to get caught.

So to quote Leo Trotsky "Go where you belong from now on, into the dustbin of history!" (thought I throw in a little Russian humor)

Too often retirees get involved with politics and it just doesn’t look good. I worked closely with VADM Harward who is very close with ADM McRaven. I am honored to have served with them and respect their respective resumes. VADM Harward passed on the National Security Advisor position under President Trump, but he did not disparage the office.
Bobby was my plebe during the fall semester when I was a Youngster and he has made me very proud over the years.

Old Bobby could still run the snot out of anyone when I was in Afghanistan with him in 2010-2011.

We're Americans, so we can say whatever we damn please. Just not here.

As far as the selectively released notes of John Brennan, you could fit DNI Ratcliffe's integrity in a matchbox and still have room left over for Carl Perkins's clothes.
