Service requirement confusion

I am a contracted 4 year AROTC scholarship MSI. I always thought that the scholarship was a required 4 active and 4 reserve. However, I now know all ROTC cadets must compete for active duty. Down the road if I hypothetically get active duty will the service requirement be 4 years active and 4 years reserve or 4 years active and 4 years IRR? Thanks for any insight

Did you get a copy of your contract? Did someone go over it with you before you signed it? You might want to reread and make sure you know what the Army promised you, and what you promised the Army.
