SHAME SHAME on this person for doing this!! ( & request for rumor control)

I came over here because of the debate and snide comments regarding the alleged parent at church on the fb forums, which I personally have not seen confirmed. Honestly , I keep in my own lane most of the time , and after paying 270 bucks for a photo package where I have seen probably three pictures total of my plebe , the best pics I’ve gotten of her have been from parents who are “stalking” the yard and have shared on the parent pages . Not a fan of Philly cheese steaks , best hot dog is Nathan’s on the Coney Island boardwalk and if you want to talk pizza , Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn and VIP in Queens . And most of all thank you for the advice from the more experienced parents on this page ,aside from their culinary preferences .
Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn is overrated. I prefer New Park Pizza in Howard Beach. Just my 3 cents...

Wellllllll. . . I say go Old School with the oldest Pizza shop in America, Lombardi's on Spring Street in SOHO.

I also think that you can't go wrong with Johns on Bleeker St in the Village.

... glad 🙂 went back to foodie blogs, much pleasant than war stories. DS just gave me the yak yak zoning out after a war story at 0938 today.

If you’re out near USMMA, take Lakeville out of Great Neck and head to Umberto’s in New Hyde Park. Neighborhood gem. Apparently it’s Chef Alex Guarnaschelli’s favorite outside the city.

+1 on this. Just to cover all of the boroughs - Pugsley Pizza in The Bronx is the best in that part of town. Right by Arthur Avenue & the Fordham campus. Ask Sal to bang the gong!

Hmmm. To the OP-I don’t know about cheesesteaks, USNA church mommas, ordnance in the telescoping tube, and I don’t know about you but things are better when I’m dancing. AS LONG AS it is NOT on the deck of a pleasure craft veering dangerously close to DS ship when he is OD into San Diego, waving a big sign -“Welcome Home Ensign X!!! Momma loves you Baby!!! ❤️ Drive Safe!!!

I’ve probably been there. Usually stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn there for business.

My wife grew up in Woodbury … her sister lived in Westbury. I always stayed in the holiday inn off the LIE around Woodbury/Syosset. I forget the name of the pizzeria but know how to get there. It was on Main Street.

I have had great pizza throughout NY. This one was the best, including NYC.

This place must be really good, because DS and I were looking for a slice in the Village a couple years ago and the line went out the door and down the block. We would’ve stuck it out if I wasn’t so famished. 😉

They have patrol boats sporting 50 cals around those ships in SD Harbor, so Momma should not try to get too close...;). But I do love the imagery, straight from some comedy screenplay, yet to be written...

Just had dinner with my eldest at Umberto‘s on Tuesday night , pizza is good but the entrees are excellent and VERY reasonably priced especially for Long Island . The penne Al a vodka is a big hit with DD .
