Any STEM acceptances out there?
A quick search of the threads reveals that last year notifications began late March, with most hearing back in April. ‘All applicants will be notified of their status by May 1’; what they don’t mention there is that your status may be ‘waitlisted’. That really doesn’t help when you have to book a flight to get there. I guess we’ll just have to cool our jets from now through April!
My rising DS just got accepted Session 1. DD went 4 years ago and completely changed the course of her life! Amazing what a week can do.

Do you mind my asking in what way? Did she decide to attend USNA? We are not a military family but my husband contracts a lot for the military and living in San Antonio we have a lot of military friends. This whole process is foreign to me and my daughter is so excited and researching USNA as an option for college. I'm wondering if the experience will make her want to focus on USNA even more.

I'm hoping this will give mine a clear picture of whether she likes Annapolis or not. I know they don't get a great idea of being a mid, but we are also from Texas, which is very different from Maryland. I'm pretty sure my dd is one of only a few that applied from our district but TX-8 is super competitive (or so I've heard). I just keep telling her that this is a good primer for the wait that takes place during her senior year!
