Still on the island here in CA. Good news for all the future midshipman still hanging on is that my DS just received his BFE from USMA, his #1 choice. Thus, he will now try and withdraw his USNA application so that there is more room on the island for one of you. DS is proud to get the chance to serve the people of this great nation and will be proud to serve in the armed forces with the great candidates on this navy forum. God bless you all!

Congratulations! That's great news for your son. A good friend of my DS is headed there this summer too.

DS (and mid-sib) still waiting in PA-12. Has NROTC at Schreyer's Honors College at Penn State U as back up, which I suppose he should firm up this week. Such a different experience from his big brother (class of 17) who had LOA in August, appointment in November. I guess it's good to experience admissions from all perspectives, but I much prefer the other way. Best of luck to all who are still waiting.

College re-applicant still waiting in NH. He is on Deans list at Norwich University ,Semper Fi pledge ,Basketball player, on the shooting team ,works a job on campus . Worked 2 jobs last summer and has 3 noms. Last year on the 27 of March he received his TWE. We are hoping no TWE at this point is a good thing.

There seems to have been a wave of TWE's going out over the past few days. One student from my school who is in a different congressional district received his on Friday. Their district had a recruited athlete with LOA and then appointment very early in the process.

Is is safe to assume that at this point most who have not heard, or heard via TWE in the last few days, are/were in the national pool? If people have been rejected from the national pool is it a stretch to assume that admissions has begun reviewing the national pool and those 150 n.p. appointments I've read about should be coming out soon?
