My DS received a text today stating "The preliminary application for the US Naval Academys class of 2025 will open on April 1...."and goes on to mention summer seminar and to "begin the journey..."
His portal is still CPR and he has not received a rejection email. But he is thinking this could mean he has been rejected and just hasn't been notified yet?
Did anyone else receive this? Maybe we're reading too much into it?

DS got the same....said to me, "I guess that means I didn't get in". Not sure what it means other than exactly what it says. DS is still CPR as well.

That language sounds like a text that should be going to Jrs (rising Seniors). Maybe a misfire on the text

...I believe they just sent this to everyone on their phone list since the 2025 application is starting soon...
... I think it must be going out to all who at one point expressed interest?...
Don't read anything into it. It was most likely a mass text to everyone (interested/applicant/candidate-wise.) on their contact list.

Keep calm, wait on.

I don't understand how "prelim apps for Class of '25 are now open" translates to "you have not been admitted." That's such a stretch that one might pull a muscle trying to connect those two statements.

There's always a lot of stress around the appointment process. It's only worse now that we live amid Covid-19. There's really no need to completely misinterpret a simple message -- to 100% replace one thought with a totally unrelated thought of your own making.

This is a perfect time to reiterate one of the great truths of military life: Control what you can and don't worry about what you can't control. Easier said than done,,,but now more than ever....

Anyone have any idea when TWE’s typically come out? I feel like so many of us are still CPR... This might have been answered in a previous thread.

I'm pretty sure there is no specific date for TWE's....it appears that it is just whenever they make the decisions

USNA Admissions website states pretty clearly that Most will be informed by April 15... that applies to both TWE and BFE. That's a pretty good hint that alot of TWE's will be sent then. Until then, there are still BFE's to deliver !

With respect to the OP ..probably a misfire , and overspending to everyone that might be interested, both 2024 and 2025. At least one 2024 Appointee said they got it...

A hint to all Candidates, including those eager to start the process...Don't try to read between the lines on any correspondence. Naval Officers tend to be pretty concise and direct in their communications.

Got it as well although I already received my TWE last week. Probably just sent to people on their “mailing list” meaning if you ever expressed interest then they send it to those individuals in their system
Was your portal updated the day you received the TWE? If not, how long did it take for it to update?

My DS is in the CPR swimming pool and did not receive the text.
