The Citadel - What are my chances of acceptance?

Well assuming this info is correct, I would think I have a solid chance of getting admitted...

I'll let you guys know whenever I receive a decision, because if I get accepted I will commit to the school
I do volunteer work for Citadel Admissions. The information I have from the school for accepted and deposited applicants to the 4th Class entering this Fall 2021 is an average SAT score of 1170. The average GPA for this entering Class is 3.6 on a 4.0 scale. The Citadel Admissions accepts weighted GPA from your high school - if reasonable. They do look at the quality and type of academic courses taken.

I am retaking the ACT on September 11th, hopefully going to improve.

According to my stats on Niche, this is where I land... any thoughts on this?

You will likely be accepted into the corps of cadets program at the Citadel, as the acceptance rate is higher than 75%.
Saying it is “Somewhat” selective may be “somewhat” generous.😉
Acceptance rates for the Citadel’s graduate, night, day, and online programs do not appear to be published.

Getting in is one thing - Graduating is something else. Even some of the 'easy' majors seem significantly more rigorous than back in the day.

Since you have Uncle Sugar footing the bill you have little to lose, that said being over your head academically at Citadel can be a miserable place.

Understood Sir, Thank you for your advice... I try to not become too ambitious in my endeavor.

Don't buy into the nonsense and don’t sell yourself short. Whether you’re in the corps of cadets or the other citadel programs, IF you choose to attend the citadel, you will most likely NOT be “in over your head academically.”
Your grades and academic/HS record are very good. Bottom line, all thing considered you are most definitely on the upper end of citadel students, just FYI.
Just don’t sleep through class, and you’ll do well!!!

I tend to pay attention at lot at my classes, even though my GPA of 3.30 may not be the best..... I guess I can just hope... I also just recently watched the video that Citadel published for Matriculation for C/O 2025, and it was incredible to imagine, maybe I will go there, and be in that spot..

Currently, I plan that if I am accepted, I really want to commmit to the school, especially since 100% of tuition won't be my full responsibility, with the army assisting with tuition by means of the SMP Program..

I've already been in school for 3 weeks, so assuming whenever I have a break off school, I want to try and visit the Citadel in person!

Can y'all give me notes.

My SAT Score was a 1050, ACT Score a 20, I just retook waiting on new results.

My Weighted GPA; somehow based on a 4.0 scale is a 3.30.

I have quite a few bits of Leadership, such a participation in programs as Civil Air Patrol, and Leadership in Employment, etc.

Any thoughts
Just received my acceptance packet with these same grades and scores as well as leadership opportunities.
