just a little food for thought to new plebe parents. My DS who is a a new firstie(class of 2019 which is so hard to believe) is in Annapolis during an internship. He was lucky enough to make it to the swearing in ceremony on I-Day. He talked to me about how meaningful it was to witness the commitment once again from a “different” point of view. He said once the Bancroft doors were closed he saw the reaction from quite a few moms. His comment to me was “mom how did you make it through that night?” My response was “it was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but I knew it was what you wanted” I have no doubt his first night was not an easy one either. My point is...here he is as going into his firstie year and neither he nor I would change anything. I am stronger and so is he. I know the next 6 weeks are going to go by very slowly but I PROMISE the next 4 years are going to fly by. We are both praying for all of you.

Thanks for the perspective and the prayers midmom19. I know in my brain you are absolutely correct. Currently, my heart tells me a different story. Slowly, Mrs. Navy Lion and I are crawling out of our post I-day funk. It would help if the Alumni Association Photo Program was fully up and running. GO NAVY!

That would explain why I login and go through a loop when I select the Photo Program.
    Doh!

DD is a firstie at USAFA, and DS had a year of NROTC under his belt before the doors closed Thursday... I figured I had enough inoculations of - what would you call it - unusual separations - therefor no tears.

NOT SO MUCH!! What a moving and emotional time Thursday - must admit caught me off guard a bit. Much reflection on the 20 hour drive home on Friday -

35 days: 10 hours: and 19 minutes till we depart for Parents weekend. But once again, who is counting right. ⚓️

20-hour drive? That is commitment, right there.

It has been up and the last album was loaded this morning. Do you see this when you log on?

Good luck to everyone searching through all those pictures playing “find Waldo or your plebe”. It helped me tremendously to see his face although sometimes he didn’t look so happy. I would download some to my desktop and print some off and send in a letter to him with comments and questions about what he was doing in the picture. I think it helped him to know I had a small link to him and gave him a topic to write about in letters home. I still have some of those pictures on my desktop and will email one to him when he is feeling a little haggered with a little comment like “you’ve come a long way”

Thank you Midmom for your encouraging note and for your prayers. This is all a new experience, but we are writing to him regularly, and also discovered Project Write2Them. That's a great site so that other friends and family can also send a note.

I must admit, it felt much better after we spotted him in one of the pictures from Sunday drill, uploaded today.

Help! I am still trapped in the Alumni Association website loop without access to pictures for members. I've tried to log out and log back in to access members' pictures with no success. I've confirmed that yes, my application and registration were successful. I do not know how to access the screenshot Zeus posted above. Next steps??

Try these steps (Seems awkward but I just tried and it works):

Log onto USNA.com via the SIGN IN link in top right hand corner.

Go to this link in that browser (cut and paste):
    https://www.usna.com/AAphotos_Public

Click the link in the middle.

You should see all the latest uploads, like this:

    Hope it works!

Sadly, it is still not working. I press the "click here" that you highlighted with red arrows and it goes straight back to the home page. I have contacted the administrator and will hope for a response sooner rather than later ( later being after the 4th of July holiday). It has been very difficult to know there may be pictures of my plebe possibly out there that I still can not access. Thank you, Zeus, for your effort to help!

Sorry to hear your trouble, BoxerMom. Hopefully it will be resolved quickly. When it does, grab some snack first because you will be glued to the computer for a while! :D

BoxerMom, did you officially join the Alumni Association and pay the $70 annual fee? I thought I had a while back, but turns out I’d only registered for the Welcome Aboard Picnic. Once I signed up and paid the fee, I had instant access to the photos. Simple oversight on my part.

I'm a paid member as well, and I can't access the photos.

THParent- We must be stuck in the same limbo. I checked with my credit card company to make sure payment was successfully processed and it was.

I’ve been trying to keep myself extremely busy with small projects around the house to help pass the time until Sunday’s call. I keep reminding myself that countless parents got through Plebe Summer way back when without a single picture! This too shall pass and hopefully will be remedied soon. I just hope sooner rather than later.

Could it be a matter of what browser is being used?

I tried it with Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Opera.
    No joy.

If you tried multiple browsers with no luck, I would use the 'contact us' section (lower right of page) where you can call/email for support. If many people are having the same problem, it is likely a site issue and they already know about and/or are working to resolve.
