Third AFROTC Scholarship Board Cancelled

Yeah not sure if they did a mass release or these are coming out individually

The results that came out today and yesterday are a part of board 2 right? Which means that board 3 results are going to come out on the 17th still?

My son received a 4 year Type 7 scholarship today and was supposed to be included on the second board.
Not sure if others who have received results are from the third board or not.

I had to email the technician to fix mine. It works now and I was notified I did not receive a scholarship offer with a 3.95 GPA and a 1380 SAT score. Still very surprised.
wow... that's crazy. i'm sorry...

For anyone who received a scholarship, did it tell you what school it was applied to? I know it's usually your first choice but I couldn't find it anywhere on the portal or the email sent out...

My DS was offered a Type 7, Foreign Language scholarship. His school choices all waive tuition to the in-state rate, so this the expected type if offered. He's is super pumped. With the potential reduction in scholarship, he had made peace with no offer and was planning to enroll in AFROTC anyway.

Do you have the technician's email? With this new screen, I cant even find that. I know this means DS not likely awarded. Similar numbers 3.93 with a 30 ACT.

I received a type 7, and mine did not! It gave me two checklists: one for the 4 year and one for the converted three year. In the 4 year packet section about accepting (section 3.1) it says: "You must accept your scholarship offer NLT 31 May 2021 via the Offers Section of the WINGS portal. When accepting your scholarship you must identify your intended institution of attendance, upload a copy of your Letter of Admission/School of Acceptance, and declare the major you intend to pursue during your academic career". So at least for the type 7 scholarship, you just put in your school when you accept the scholarship:) Hope this helps!!!

It was my understanding that there is no third board. Today's results (which were projected to be released yesterday) were for people who submitted WITH a SAT/ACT score. I thought the 16th or seventeenth is for people who submitted WITHOUT a SAT/ACT score.

I did not submit ACT/SAT scores (board 3), and my portal told me to expect news on or around April 16. Receiving a Type 2 today was an unexpected surprise for sure.

I am now thoroughly confused!

Earlier today the website said:
"Your application will be reviewed by the detachments you selected. Detachment staff should contact you in the near future. Please check your spam/junk folder regularly for any AFROTC correspondence.

If you have any questions or concerns, you may contact one of the detachments you listed on your application (Detachment contact information can be found on AFROTC.com). Detachment staff can advise you on the remainder of the process and answer any questions you may have."

Now when he logs on it doesn't even say that. Now it is like parts of his application disappeared (i.e. the check boxes for parts of the checklist that were previously complete have disappeared in some cases." Also the status mesage is now what it was back in december before he completed the application (he met the second application).

As far as stats, his SAT was 1550, National Merit Finalist, unweighted GPA 3.7, lots of extracurriculars.
