Are you sure? There have been threads on here stating some TWE letters sent in error too early given January 31 deadline. Maybe it's worth a followup email to RC verifying, especially since she has Presidential given your or your wife's service. Not sure what timeframe the community can reasonably expect TWE's to come out en masse (or if they trickle out), but it still seems too early when application deadline hasn't even happened yet.@MidCakePa thanks she's feeling good. Has other opportunities. @okboomer no she's med qualified. Our family is a USMA family and happy DS1 has opportunity to attend!
There is a .50 TWE showing in USPS informed delivery. Her entire package has been complete for awhile. I will be surprised if it turns out to be anything other than a rejection. Are you sure? Would be great, but already ruled out. Application is complete including nomination, so no possibility of LOA. Only appointment or rejection. We don't have informed delivery but a TWE with .50 postage arrived at our home on Friday. We all feared the worst and there was a still silence as parents/candidate all stood looking at that envelope as it was discovered in the pile of holiday cards and advertisements. No words were spoken and the moment seemed to go on forever as we parents waited for any sign of what was in the letter. Upon opening the first line read -Congratulations! ... It was a LOA. Being from a very competitive district, seemingly "late" in the cycle to receive a LOA, no experience with this process, and completely unhooked in any way it was the last thing that was expected. Hang in there hopefully you have a pleasant surprise in the mailbox later today.
Could be a 3Q letter. . .think there was a week lag time between date of letter when it was mailed to DS in October/November. Maybe it was generated before your DD's nomination?Would be great, but already ruled out. Application is complete including nomination, so no possibility of LOA. Only appointment or rejection.
Considered that. Would have shown up in portal.Could be a 3Q letter. . .think there was a week lag time between date of letter when it was mailed to DS in October/November. Maybe it was generated before your DD's nomination?
It did not for DS. LOE did, but not the 3Q letter.Considered that. Would have shown up in portal.
Will find out soon.
She'll get the mail and open it when it's delivered today, but doesn't know the TWE is coming yet. I'll be at work. Just preparing mentally.I think it needs to be made clear that a lot of USMA's mail correspondence is in "Thin White Envelopes."
Unless you have already opened the letter and found a rejection, I don't think it's fair to yourself or your daughter to rule out USMA just from inference.
