Yes. I noticed that the "last reviewed" dates changed a few weeks before I was offered an appointment. If I had to guess, I would say they were trying to make sure I was 3Q'd. After they did, I was offered an appointment.

I know there are no guarantees until USAFA says appointed, but my DS now has nominations from MOC and both senators. One of those senators also has 2 slots available. So with 3Q, fantastic recommendation letters, very strong CFA, demonstrated leadership, and 4 opportunities to gain a nomination slot, I'm feeling like he's in a pretty good position. Is that reasonable? Ultimately I guess all there is to do now is keep up with plans B to Z, keep working hard and stay healthy.

It all comes down to how your DS stacks up against all other fully qualified candidates on those slates. Was your DS placed on each slate for the one with two spots?

If he does not “win” his slate, the SA, according to established guidelines, can also choose other fully qualified candidates off that slate.

There is also the long-shot VP.

There is truly no way to know. Undoubtedly he is in better position than some and worse than others. You have the right idea to focus on alternate plans and stay healthy. Keep that brain hamster under control.

The dates never changed for me after they were initially entered. It definitely isn't a guarantee.
